The White Peak section was getting much too big, so the woodland flora of the White Peak now has a section of its own! Woodlands in the White Peak are dominated by Ash on thin limestone soils. The ground flora is very rich in places, especially in the steep-sided dales where the woodland has remained undisturbed and unmodified.
